I parked my 88T a little over a year ago. My intention has been to fix it up at some point because it is, with the possible exception of my 68 96 Deluxe, my favorite driver. This afternoon I went out, put a battery in, and started it up because I wanted to move it to another spot. Both ABS lights stayed on for over two minutes. Uh Oh. Then I smelled the pump motor cooking...
Anyway, the ABS system unique to 88 and early 89 was a chronic problem on this car and my 89. I've got the factory Mark 2 ABS manual and have swapped in used parts quite a few times. If I fix this one up, I'd like to know there are either cheap parts available or a way to easily swap in something from another year, otherwise I'll have to write off the car. I think the easiest approach would be to put in pre 88 non abs.
What think you?
