i used to be a Manager at volvo saab back in 88+ and the 9000's were safer than the famous volvos. Don't believe todays cars are built as well. Comparatively a malibu is safe, but not nessesarily safer. At 30 + mph you will total a 9000 but the passengers are safe, while newer cars rely on airbags etc, dont necessarily crush the way the Saabs do. I'd rather drive an expendable car.
