Update, My son's 97 CS 5 speed 148K miles 9000 won't start. Full voltage at fuel pump for just one second then no voltage until you try again after a few minutes and then same full voltage for just one second. No codes on my OBD2. I replaced DI with good one and CPS with a believed to be good used one from parts car but still no start. a A couple times, engine ran good but just for about one second which I assume is because pump runs for a second. I read the following information from Ari and may have diagnosed a bad ECU because the 1st step says to check Fuse 23 – ECUsupply (always powered). Fuse is good but only 1.3 volts with a stong battery. I assume I sould read about 12 volts?
following is part of what Ari posted 12 aug 2005:

I pulled this together from the Trionic manual. This would be good for '94-'98. Please note, I haven't verified this completely myself, and as I did it last night, there may be some errors. Corrections gratefully accepted!
Engine fails to start – BUT it does turn over
Step 1 - Check fuses:
Fuse 23 – ECUsupply, +30 circuit (always powered)
Fuse 13 – ECU supply, +15 circuit (only when key ON)
Fuse 14 – fuel pump relay supply to fuel pump.
Replace any blown fuses and go to step 2
(Note – 30 and 15 don’t mean 30 and 15 volts – that is just the SAE accepted name for unswitched and switched power – it should be around battery voltage when on).
thanks, ToodH
