hi, i have a 92 9000 turbo 5 spd with 156k, sometime in its history someone swapped everything needed to make it a non tcs car.. .so its basically a 1991 9kt... but my problem is that it only seems to wanna boost like it should half the time. the boost gauge never gets out of the yellow, it goes right to where the little dash marks go into the red and stays whether its boosting good or not. i thought maybe its hitting base boost? but i have one important question, - should i be able to move the wastegate actuating rod back and forth pretty easily? i suspected it might be sticking so i checked it and thought it should have moved pretty freely from past turbo experience, but i could hardly get it to move maybe a half centimeter under alot of hand pressure... all my other things like the bpc, bov, vac tubes, connections and hoses check to be fine. the watsegate actuator and rod look to be pretty old.
