This sounds very similar to the problem I just had on my 9k. Essentially, the vibration was from tires worn unevenly on the inside edge of the tire. But it happens from a bad alignment over time.

I went on a 1000 mile trip... When I first left, the wobbling was only slight. Half-way into my journey, the wobbling became very heavy. I pulled over into a commuter parking lot along the interstate and discovered the wires in the tire tread were showing through the tires, but on the side of the tire near the center of the car, so I couldn't see it. I ended up swapping the front tires to the back, and back to front, and continued on my way until I found a Sears where I got new tires put on. Definitely carefully check your tires, or consider swapping them with the rear and see if the problem goes away.
