My 95 Aero has had a similar problem for a while. I used to turn ignition key On and leave it for a few seconds before cranking. What I noticed was that "Check Engine" light sometimes would not light up- car wouldn't start in that case. I'd wait usually few seconds (or minutes)- until it lights up followed by relay's buzzing noise and car would start. Replaced positive battery cable to no avail. Problem has not been duplicated after recent battery replacement- I keep my fingers crossed. Just a food for thought.
