Follow up to my ABS light post Posted by Jonathan Scupin [Email] (#428) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Jonathan Scupin) on Sat, 8 Jan 2011 16:00:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just wanted to follow up on my ABS light (on after tranny replacement, all 4 wheel speed sensors ohmed out OK)
I had it scanned by Bear at East of Sweden in Boulder (he wouldn't even charge me!!), and Tech2 showed it as "Right Rear Outlet Valve Inoperable". So it was either the hydraulic unit, the wiring, or an ABS ECU fault.
I was planning to ohm out the RR outlet valve at the ABS unit's connector, but the light decided to go out on its own!
So, it was either:
1) Small piece of debris caught in the RR outlet valve - is this even possible?
2) Intermittent wiring problem - in which case I should see the fault again.
3) Intermittent ABS ECU problem - in which case I should see the fault again.
So, I'll just keep driving for now!
Thanks everyone for the help.
