I have an oddball problem I'm hoping someone here may have encountered before. I'm driving a 95 9000 Aero, that for all intents and purposes runs like a dream. she idles fine, no knocking, no wining, sounds beautiful. except when you hit the gas. when you press on the gas, if feels like it's running as a cable driven throttle not an e-throttle. and there will be times when the feel of the gas pedal goes back and forth between easy to press(as it normally should feel) to feeling like it's cable driven. I have been under the hood and the cable for the throttle body is not moving an inch, so I know i'm not in full limp-home-mode. I have replaced almost all of the vacuum lines under the hood (haven't done the crank case vent lines yet) and everything returned to normal for a day. she is throwing a check engine light, but AutoZone can't check it, and I don't know of any place other than the dealer that can read a trouble code for a car this old.
So I was wondering if anyone here has seen or heard of anything like this before, if not, does anyone know of a place in or around Lancaster, PA that can read engine codes?
Thanks!
