I have MB Quarts all around Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Tue, 18 Jan 2011 08:55:03 In Reply to: MB Quart...., Chris9k [Profile/Gallery] , Mon, 17 Jan 2011 21:32:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
They sound awesome. I didn't find that there was enough bass though, so I added an Infinity Basslink as well. I don't have a stock headunit either, so your new Kenwood will help a ton with sound quality.
For the MB Quarts, I'd recommend:
-PVI 269 6"x9" for the rear
-PVI 210 4" for the front.
When I dropped mine in, they didn't yet sell the shallow stuff, and everything fit fine. I like sticking with the convertible/component models because you can mount the tweeters in the stock locations. I think I did need to use my Dremel a bit on the rear mounts for the tweeters only.
The MB Quarts are really good quality stuff. I got mine when they were still German - they were since bought by Maxxsonics. But i still wouldn't hesitate to buy them - I am probably going to redo the system in my convertible this summer with some MBs.
