I have had exactly the same problem last year. The lock mechanism look "frozen"
So I choose to spray the lock cylinder with Teflon.
It worsened the situation. The worn out pins in the lock cylinder came loose and I even could not remove the key at all.
Towing to the stealer was the only option. They removed the mechanical cylinder and send it to a locksmith for repair.
The locksmith puts new pins in the cylinder and no problems since then.
A half year later the other part (mechanical-electrical) had to be replaced (broken part inside)
For the rest of the car’s life I hope to be free from any problem related to the lock cylinder assembly.
