Hi all
My 1997 9000 CSE is stuck on high heat. After removing aquarium cover and moving the wire be hand, it was very loose.
Went inside cabin and removed passenger side airbag.
I can see that wire linkage is also connected to 1-1/2 inch long arm. The arm when moved by hand has no resistance to movement. It does not bind on flap either. When I raise ACC to HI or LO I can see shaft of stepper motor rotating, but it does not move the arm.
Is the gear stripped? I tried reseating arm on drive with no results.
I have removed the two aft screws holding metal bracket to plastic air housing but how to remove the last one furthest forward? OR, how does one remove arm so that stepper motor and gearing can be replaced?
Never a dull moment with the Saabs....
