Although Saab indicates that the fluid in intended to be a "lifetime" fluid, it's a good idea to change it.
I did mine in my driveway with a siphon, and refilled it with Castrol 10/30 (non synthetic). There are resources out on the web that tell you how to tap and drill a drain hole (since the '93 transmission doesn't have one), but for as often as you do this (every 2 years would seem to me to be plenty), a siphon should do the trick. Try to get as much out as you can, so make sure the siphon is deep in the transmission. I rigged up a siphon hose with a three-way valve in it so I could suck on one tube, but then diver the oil through another once I had it sucked out of the trans.
When I did mine, a small whine went away in my transmission. I'm glad I did.
