Last September I posted about a stiff brake pedal in my '96 Aero. Before getting too far into it, I ended up just parking it for the winter, as I had no garage to work in and it also had an a/c problem, making it impossible to drive in the winter here (windows would frost up without the a/c).

I've bled the brakes, to no avail. These are the things I was advised could be the problem: bad vacuum booster, stuck spring on master cylinder, bad check valve on the booster. What is the test method for the booster? A pressure gauge was mentioned, but I don't know what pressure to expect under what conditions, and where exactly do I connect it? I also cannot see a check valve anywhere on the parts diagram for the brake system.
