If you have near you the kind of you-pull-it yards I have here in Maine, you culd find a perfectly good front caliper for maybe $10-$20. If its rubber is intact and it's not too rusty outside, its function will be fine and it will probably last as long as your car.

Is the boot on yours TORN, or just somehow pulled off its seat? The caliper is probably working fine if the piston looks fine, but if rust has started in the bore, a rebuild may be called for. Good luck getting as good rubber in a rebuild kit as the original.

Also have an eye to the little rubber caps on the bleed screws. If they're not there salty water can get in to the threads and make future trouble.
