Regarding the unhelpful (and perhaps vaguely calumniatory reply above):
1)
I do not appreciate having my concerns re-labeled as 'weird'.

2)
I clearly stated that the source of the high-mount fixture's problem is known and repairable, though the repair is always temporary.

More info to add to the original request which started this thread->

Our region's normal disposition is to be extremely moist/wet and this season has been the wettest ever recorded to date (and that was before the latest round of flooding and wash-outs).
Violent electrical storms have also taken out many buildings this year.

By comparison to folks who've lost their homes/businesses around here, my lighting concerns are quite trivial.

I would still very much appreciate any relevant info or assistance in making things work more smoothly.
