I remember reading of the 9005 mod and it is just altering the tabs/slots, right ?
(Sam96CS, it might be good if you'd post some info on that mod for anyone who'd like to mod some bulbs and do the aiming you alluded to...?)
My Xenon driving lights compared with the H3 (55W ?) bulbs I removed draw significantly less power and they claim it is only 35W...I am inclined to buy that figure.
With the LED 9006 subs & the Xenons all running my car's voltage would hold at around 13.9V at a constant road speed vs. 13.5 with regular halogen H3s and 9006s.
The Xenons do get hot - but so did the H3s, and my driving lights are all metal/glass anyhow so it's OK there.
Heat is one reason I'd like to know from someone who uses the Xenon 9006 bulbs on their car already before I lay my $ down...
