Beyond the broken up ali bushings mentioned above.
It could also be the Lower Balljoint loose in it's socket.
These are quite difficult to spot as worn with the usual inspection methods. I missed a worn one before (the clunks when turning and/or going over bumps apparently wasn't enough warning to penetrate my dim awareness)and it finally separated in action.. resulting in a Big mess .. not a recomended experience.
These are fairly inexpensive items to buy and with modest skills a 20 min max.. DIY job. I now immediately replace balljoints that I don't know the exact age of.
