I just repaired a damaged rear a-arm bushing by using a pry bar to give clearance after removing the 4 bolts holding the brace and the bushing and the 3/4" nut and washer. It slid off easily (lucky?).
The inner rubber was almost separated and so I cut a piece of rad hose, 1-1/4"I.D.x1-5/8"O.D.x approx.1"long and inserted between the inner and outer rubber of the bushing using soap to lube and tightening the washer and nut to the arm drove it all home. It works well, no vibration and most importantly no disconcerting "shifty" feeling on hard high speed curves. I don't see why this shouldn't last as long or longer than the original bushing design- will post again if something gives. I did the driver side as well just to maintain symmetry.Labor 1 hour, material $0 for both!.
