I'm trying to solve a bizarre problem that has cropped up. Under moderate acceleration, gas pedal about 1/3 to the floor, when I get up to anywhere from 2300 to about 2800 rpm, the engine will begin to miss. If I keep the accelerator at the same spot, I will drive along like that for miles, at the same speed. It never occurs with light throttle settings for slow driving in town. If I abruptly back off the gas and put it right back to the same spot, the missing will usually stop, and I will continue accelerating. I can also floor it, and the missing will stop, and I will accelerate. Never happens if I floor it from the beginning.

The tachometer does not jump around when this happens, so I'm thinking it isn't the CPS.

This has been going on for almost a year. All of the following things did not solve the problem:
1. changed plugs, gapped at 1.0 mm.
2. New fuel pump (gave up the ghost anyway and needed replacement)
3. New FPR (stock)
4. New O2 sensor
5. New turbo

What about the air mass meter? Any ideas? Throttle position sensor issue? I'm baffled.
