battery goes dead after a few days

I have had this problem now with both of my 9000's:
With the first, I would have a dead battery after a few days of being parked.
Because of this, I did not want to get stranded at airport parking long term for a week or two, so I used the car that didn't have that problem.
Now I am using daily the car that had the battery go dead after a few days, but now using it daily, it starts just fine. The phenomenon has shifted to other Saab. One or two days sitting parked it will start, but over a week and battery will not even turn engine over.
So I performed same test on both cars: I lifted red cable Placed ammeter in series with positive battery wire and positive post. One car shows 1.7 amps, the other 2.0 amps. They both seem high. This is observed after waiting a few minutes, and all lights off.
One one car I went so far as to pull each fuse, one a a time, without observing any change in current draw.
Any ideas?
