Hello there!

I too have No Start Issues after spending months doing upgrades to my 1993.5 9000 Aero and, as much as I found Ari's diagnostics to be informative, I unfortunately discovered via Ohm Tracing from the Cranshaft Position Sensor (CPS)that the PINS that correspond to the Red, Red/Green and Black wire from the CPS don't Ohm out to PINS 6, 23 & 15 in the ECU Harness. After finding the SAAB Service Manual that corroborated what Ari wrote pertaining to the above, specifically SAAB 9000 to 1995 W/TCS and LH Timing referencing 345 as being the CPS feeding to the above mentioned PINS on the ECU, I and my buddies at the SAAB Shop thought hey this Ari does know what he's referring to, HOWEVER, after ohming out to each of the 3 Pins above from the respective terminations for the wires of the CPS at the Clip, we found there to be NO Signal or an otherwise Open Connection. So no wonder the car won't get Spark, right? Not so fast!

So I unwrapped the entire Loom from the Harness as well as the length from the loom winding behind the Clutch/Brake Reservior in which the wires from the CPS reside and ohm tested to determine the red and black wires and to double check the only other Red/Green wire and then marked them and followed them up to the Harness for the ECU only to find that the CPS R,R/G & Blk wires connect to PINS 64, 40, & 62 repectively and when I ohm'd out to each I got a signal, and still no Spark!!

I haven't attempted as yet to put the other diagnostics to the test but will do so and hopefully source where the problem resides, but I'm close to throwing in the towel and having my rig towed to the Specialists as I'm tapped out with trying to figure this quandry out???
