If you're already pulling everything apart, then yeah. Add some degreaser and pressure-wash the hell out of it. But while the engine and trans are mounted, definitely avoid 2.4k psi...there's too much fragile stuff in the engine bay, not to mention the delicate electrical connections that could be blasted into next week. Also be mindful of high-pressure water finding its way into the false bulkhead...you could end up with massive electrical headaches.
Sounds like you're meticulous with cleaning, so you probably wouldn't mind getting in there with a paint scraper and removing gunk that way. Blast it with some brake parts cleaner and dig in.
I've cleaned blocks, sump pans, and surrounding areas a few times, and control arms were the only things I hit with a pressure washer. Everything else comes off with the right tool and a little motivation.
