I know a lot of Swedish curse words and use them in my loneliness but it doesn't help. It seems that the cars forget their roots when crossing the Atlantic and they just look at me with a dumb stare and go on with the merry way of creating new problems right after one is repaired.
It is not uncommon at all for that rear seal to start to leak after a new batch of coolant is introduced. The new coolant has more cleaning agents than the old and washes away crud that held it tight.
I have been experimenting using different seals in that location since the ones supplied with pump are not of good quality and they flattens out too early. Right now I'm using a Viton seal (1" 3/8 X 1" 5/8 X 1/8) and we'll see how that goes.
