Yeah, that sounds like a classic turbo exhaust-side oil seal. It's about $100-150 in parts to rebuilt the turbo assuming nothing out of the ordinary is broken. You can also buy a rebuilt center housing & rotating assembly (CHRA) and expect to pay around $500 or so.
