do both master and slave. It's a big job and not cheap, but with good parts it shouldn't need doing again for long while.
I had the clutch done in my '96 back in July and we went with new master, slave, and clutch kit. The indy who did it (Walter Wong in LA) said it was important to get OEM or equivalent parts. He said the cheap stuff doesn't last.
