I just completed replacing the seat heat pad in my 95 Aero. i found the instructions valuable. Especially the comment on making a eye hook tool with a dowel rod and eye hook. I used a small cup holder hook since it was a little more open on the end which allowed for hooking and unhooking a little easier.

I had two additional issues to deal with. There is a metal ring attached with fabric on the underside of the horseshoe shaped middle section of the seat. The seat hooks loop metal ring and then to the BBQ grill which holds the seat cushion down. Fabric was ripped out on the drivers door side So I ended up using an upholstery needle and tacking the metal rind to the seat cover.

The second item was the wiring harness was slightly different. Swapped one of the connectors easily. The other issue was how to get the pins out of the wiring harness to to replace them with the new ones. The goal is to flatten the extensions on the wire end so it will come out of the connector. It requires the correct tool of a slim screwdriver which is about 1/16 of an inch wide. A glasses screwdriver should work.

I also read the Quasimotor write up on the task. Here is the current url. http://jope.fi/saab/www.quasimotors.com/heated_seat_repair.htm#detach

It took me an hour to pull and replace the seat. The swap of the seat pads took about 2 hours and I had an additional hour of learning curve time spent on the two items above.
