Bill,
I used the scissor jack from the trunk on the jacking point behind the front wheel. I extended the jack all the way, so that both the wheels on the right side (and then later the left side) were off the ground at the same time. I think I was rotating the tires front to back when this happened. I usually just lift one wheel off the ground at a time, but I was being lazy. So basically, the jacking point behind the front wheel that accepts the trunk jack was holding the weight of the entire side of the car. I got the wheels back on, back the car out of the driveway, and the pull to the right was instantly noticeable. Its been about 15k miles since this happened, and some wear is starting to show on the front tires. I'll probably swap those with the back tires before I go in for an alignment.
