A lpt 9k probably would feel a little gutless after driving a 9-5. Wheres the boost gauge going? On a lpt car, not many things affect boost delivery. I would look for vacuum leaks first then check the boost level with a real boost gauge. Stock is 6 psi for a lpt IIRC and you can raise the boost by shortening the wastegate actuator rod or add a helper spring.
Now, might find the car is running right but is just slow because its a lpt. The good new is, you can get good power with a fpt upgrade. Physically, your car can handle the fpt conversion no problem. If you have the intercooler, track down a fpt ecu and boost control valve. They are easy to install and will give a REAL increase in performance.
Im sure all that is a little overwhelming. Start searching for info on the lpt to fpt conversion and you'll be on your way.
