There's a black box brain mounted to the bottom of the seat that contains relays and does the controlling of the various seat motors.
Is it true of ALL of the motors? Front and back seat lifts, as well as front-to-back motion, and also seat-back tilt? That might make me think something inadequate about the main power reaching the seat, instead of the controller. There are two multi-plugs, one for power seat functions, one for seat heater. Are these firmly plugged in? And there's a fuse for the seat, check that.
To get the black box off, you have to unbolt the seat, raising front all the way and running seat all way to rear to get at front rail bolts (big Torx - - maybe T40? Do a search on here, I've posted on this) and then seat all way to front to get rear rail bolts. Then the two multiplugs; may have to release white plastic cover to get at them? Seat control box has a small Torx bolt, then a big screwdriver goes into a slot and turns 1/4 turn on a cam action release, the box tilts down, undo a big multiplug and extract eight little plugs for the individual motor sensors. Then unhook box bottom pegs from plastic U's on seat frame and it's free. Maybe a local indy would have a spare you could borrow for a fee for a test, or sell one cheap? Or a site sponsor.
You could try popping the box open and resoldering various points near the relays or at multiplug pinouts.
