Transmission fluid EXPANDS as it heats up; that is why the dipstick shows a 40 deg C side and an 80 deg C mark. From MIN to MAX on the 80 deg side is one-half quart. Heat the engine until the fan is cycling, measure the level with the engine idling in PARK. on a level surface.
