I completely agree with you - holes are for people who like Emmentaler. However, there are better pads out there, particularly the Ferodo DS2500, which just need a little grinding of the backplate to fit

These definitely work for me, and for friends who use their 9000s for track days - but I know from mentioning them before that Saabnet posters have plenty of other recommendations for pad upgrades!

The back brakes seem to be just there for decoration on a road car...

There is always the 330mm, 4-pot braking AP Racing upgrade from Abbott Racing if anyone cares to spend more than their 9k is likely to be worth, including the 18" wheels required for them to fit

My link is to the UK site, I think Scanwest supply the US market

There may be more information and direct experience to be found on the Performance board, though there seems to be little current 9k activity there
