The tensioner bracket has bearings that pivot on it's shaft. Remove the belt, and tensioner piston and use snap ring pliers to expand the outboard retaining clip. (there is nonneed to detach the shaft mounting from the engine block.). The snap ring fits snugly in a groove at the end of the shaft. Wiggle the bracket to remove it from ithe shaft. Clean the shaft and polish any rust spots away with a strip of crocus cloth. Clean the bearings inside the bracket. I use high temp wheel bearing grease to lube both. Reinstall and be careful not to break your arm patting yourself on the back.
