Take the hose including the metal ends off and bring to a "hydraulic shop" that rebuilds hydraulic lines used on trucks and construction/industrial machinery; they will replace the rubber part (only) with new hose that's probably better quality than the OEM hose at a fraction of the price of buying a replacement hose assembly. Use new O-rings when assembling into the rack. I would advise doing both main hoses at once "as long as you are in there", as the pressure hose (pump to rack) is the one that usually goes first.

As far as tips on getting them off, I can't help you - I replaced the hoses while replacing a rack on a couple of cars, and had full access to the hose ends once out of the car.
