Took me a little longer (like all day!) since I'm an old guy and not as limber as I used to be in contorting myself to work with the car on jack stands. Also managed to strip the head on one of the torx bolts, so had to carefully dremel off the head and used a vise grip on the remainder of the bolt to get it out. (Replaced it with an equivalent hex-head bolt.)

The rubber seals were brittle and broken, as expected. Although I did buy a new metal seal I did not use it since the old one still looked to be in perfect condition. I also re-used the large flange bolt, the guy I talked to at Eriksson said no need to replace that unless it's been really beat up by multiple uses.

Big, BIG improvement after putting it all back together, all the bad symptoms are gone and the tranny shifts up and down really well. Part-throttle downshifts are very responsive now, they had stopped working entirely.

My '97 CSE has just shy of 300,000 miles on it, will get there at the next oil change. With some TLC you should be able to make it as well!
