Sounds like you managed to get an old style heatercore that was used up until around 90-91 (P/N 9620238).
The quick connector piece that the hoses are attached to usually got brittle and broke after awhile so it might be difficult to find one used.
Saab discontinued those and came out with a heater core kit including all the hoses and hose clamps to retrofit the old cars (P/N 4613881).
I would instead send back that heatercore and have them send you the proper one. Since you already have the hoses and clamps you only need the new style heater core (P/N 5046362).
