97 9000t very long
so I torched the clutch on my 9000, yes I have done this before
(I know I have replaced the clutch once before on this car) and once on a 95,
so normally it is the stupid tapered pin that is the hard part, but I have a tool :)
the darn trans thing will not separate, I beat and pried on it for a few hours . . . .
that was worse than useless.
So I get a come-a-long and wrap it around the tranny mount the little eye thing on top of the trans.
hook that and winch it, beat it, winch it pry it, yes I removed all the bolts and stuff, I can see space all around it and I worry about bending the input shaft.
I am afraid that my car is going to be pulled sideways off the jackstands.
Finally I hear a pop and it comes off (I put dowel things in the top holes just in case this happened)
I take the pressure plate off and a bunch of springs fall on me
Problem:
I cannot get the transmission back on, it is hanging on the dowels, I can see the input shaft is centered on the clutch disk, the driver is where it should be ? ?
any ideas on this ? should I just try to re-center the clutch, even though I know it is ok and try again?
