replaced my Hatch a couple of summers ago (Broken Glass)
Hinges are easy. There are shims fitted, don't lose them. Flexy plastic wire connectors not so easy. It's V easy to break their retention tangs tread lightly. At which point you will have to glue them to the hatch or car or both..to be watertight.
You will have to pull off a fair bit of the trim and Fuzzy fur stuff to get adequate/useful access to the wiring and latch assemblies.
A helper is necessary.. period. The rascal is both heavy and unwieldly. Sticks to hold it up were not necessary or even useful, If.. you have a decent helper:-)
Refitting is trial and error and using the hinge shims you saved.. from Both cars. To my chagrin I found that these are NOT Japanese cars, body fit wise, as the fits are simply not overly precise. So don't beat yourself up on getting a perfect hatch fit, as that simply wasn't possible on mine. Despite fitting a same model year Hatch. Surprised me, as the doors always seem to fit quite well on 9000's.
G'luck with your adventure.
