The flex pipe is easy to do, but the joint at the cat can be a problem. The "ears" at the cat connection can break off, so be careful as you separate the flex pipe from the cat. You'll probably have to cut the studs from the old flex pipe to the cat flange. Have a split flange clamp handy in case either of the ears break off. I've needed a split flange clamp on two 9K exhaust jobs.
At the other end you may have to cut studs at the joint as well but I've usually had that joint come apart OK. If you have a problem, once again a split flange clamp is your friend when putting it back together. I recommend using exhaust cement on the joints for a tight fit with no leaks.
Get all the pieces aligned with the joints slightly loose and once it's nice and straight tighten them all up.
