Thanks for all the helpful info guys. Much appreciated, seems an odd coincidence that ECU would work fine in the old CS and go bad over the year it was shelved, but I suppose everything has it's time to cease. Shouldn't surprise me really as that car was owned by a hot-rodding teenager and it was rampant with electrical gremlins when I acquired it. The funniest: If you turned off the ignition while your foot was on the brake (and even removed the key) car would stay running with all dash lights on. The culprit? Someone had taken a single element bulb and jammed it in the dual element socket for the drivers side rear tail light. Thus shorting both posts on the socket and also the ECU. Once the bulb was replaced with the appropriate one problem remedied. Except perhaps it permanently traumatized said ECU. Thanks again all
