Solved my "fuel pump" problem - nobody guessed this.

I posted a couple of days ago about an intermittent stalling/no start issue, which I was pretty sure I was a fuel pump issue. Due to the intermittent nature of the problem, it seemed like it might be a dodgy electrical connection. I took apart all the electrical connections at the pump but they all looked in good shape. Nevertheless I cleaned them with contact cleaner. I then figured I should take the pump out and see if I good see anything there. The pump looked fine, but in the bottom of the tank was a small plastic bag. It was just big enough to get sucked against the inlet of the pump. That would also explain why the car would start again after 20 minutes or so - presumably the pressure dropped and the bag floated off somewhere.
Not sure how the bag got there, but I did take out the pump a few months ago to try and adjust the float since it would read empty when there were still a few gallons left in the tank - I suspect I might have knocked it in then.
Anyway, car seems to run fine now, so I'm hoping that was the problem!
