Hard shifting/ Pre drain plug 5spd

I have a '93 Aero 5spd that really doesn't like shifting into 2nd gear while driving (almost impossible when cold). Also, I have to be at a dead stop to get 1st so no rolling stop signs. While parked, I can easily access second gear and all other gears although sometimes I have to roll the car front to back a touch to get 1st or reverse. I am not experiencing any grinding during shifting but I do hear a faint "whine" at low rpm in 3rd, 4th, and 5th but especially 4th.
My question is, how do I drain the oil in the transmission? I really think that refreshing the oil would help a bunch but there is no drain plug. I have heard there is a way to tap the transmission to make a drain but have yet to find concrete instructions on how to achieve this.
I also just read a thread about flushing the brake fluid as the clutch cylinders work off of this as well. I haven't changed the brake fluid completely since I bought the car about 50k miles ago but I did renew some of it when I did pads and a front right caliper last summer so I will look to do this as well. Only problem there was that my bleeder screw on my passenger rear caliper is rusted :(
Any other suggestions? I am thinking my shift coupler is okay since I can go through all gears relatively easily while parked, make sense?
Thanks!
