Since early 80's, these have performed to expectations every time.
A couple of forays into Carbonnes and Ceramics but they proved lesser in my samplings. Perhaps current product is improved?
Don't concern overly much about extreme braking on these, as 9000's are Granpa cars, I've been told on more than one occasion :-)
IF you shop around? Rock auto for example, often has closeout sales.
I bought full (F & R) sets of Axxis Metalmasters for less than $40 a set.
Akebono ceramics are less often on 'sale'.. besides I didn't find them notably better than MMs.
Dunno where to buy Mintex or Ferodo (European faves) on this side of the Atlantic.
Short answer: OEM Saab pads are about middle of pack, perf wise but are fairly pricey. One can do better, for less.
