My car '93 CSE does this every few years. No corrosion - I just get sandpaper in tool kit in trunk shine up both sides of negative post terminal and all's fine for a few years. This is my daily driver but I've never had to do this on any of my other cars. Surprised the little oxidation on the negative termial, looks the same as exposed surfaces, would do this.
