Right axle/Wrong boot????

I have a 97 Aero. Put the drivers axle on and the inner boot is a mother to get slid on. Started wondering if I have the correct axle but the wrong boot was installed during the reman process. I happened to have two inner boots laying around and compared them to the axle. Much bigger and easily slid on.
First question are the tripod bearing the same diameter for companion flange the same? Dont think so. My old axles will not fit in a small companion flange, nor will my new axles
Does not seem to be any slop when the tripod mates with the companion flange.
Got the axles from a site sponsor and even called them to confirm that they were going to send me the correct axles for my car. Didnt really compare them to my old axles until today. In comparison of the boots installed my old axles boots are larger diameter but the same in length.
So did I just get luck enough with two axles with the wrong boot or is there something I am missing on the install.
Thanks
