Yes, it's clear that the person driving the car that rear ended the corolla was at fault.
Safe cars, like our Saabs, are designed with the passenger cabin being strong and then front and rear crumble zones. It's clear that the Corolla in this accident was basically one big crumble zone.
The car that hit it only had damage front of the A-pillars and all doors could open.
Bottom line is that yes it was a horrible crash, but the fatalities could most likely have been prevented if they'd driven a safer car.
