Any tips on AC condenser fan removal?

I'm starting to work on my A/C system, putting in new condenser, hoses, compressor, drier, and expansion valve. (Really the only old part I'm keeping is the evaporator as it did not appear to be leaking or have any issues, will just flush it out.)

One hurdle seems to be getting the pusher fan off the condenser - I've searched and found that apparently you need to take the fan blades off and there are mounting bolts underneath. Any tips on doing this? The nut seems an odd size, about 20mm? (Most socket sets come with 19mm, which is too small, and 21mm, which is too big. Ditto with SAE sockets, 3/4" is too small, 13/16" a little too big.) I did find a lock tab which I bent out of the way. Is the nut reverse thread? Just want to know what I'm dealing with before really wailing away at it. Also have to find a way to keep the fan from rotating without breaking the blades.

Or is the best way to just remove the radiator then tilt the condenser and fan back to drop out the bottom?
