Could be possibly...Worth it? Not at all.
The 2.5L in the NG900 and 3.0L in the 9k can be made reliable engines but are pretty maintenance and repair heavy (oil coolers, timing belts) on top of the normal service items. They didn't sell well, most have made it to the gave and I yet to meet one Saab mechanic who prefers working on any Saab v6 (2.5/3.0NA/3.0T/2.8T) vs the 4-cylinder option of that same era.
If you want performance, get a 4 cylinder T5 turbo, install some forged pistons and crank it up.
