Everything is already apart since I've been working on rebuilding the AC system on this car, and of course have found other things that should be replaced while in there. So far this includes serpentine belt pulleys, alternator, and water pump. Now is the time to replace the damper as well while it's easily accessible! Eeuroparts gets about $200 for a Saab OEM replacement. I'm also getting a quote from Damper Doctor on rebuilding the original, if significantly cheaper I'll go that route as they have a great reputation.
I definitely don't want to damage the crank, what is the torque specification when putting the damper back on?
