The gauge is vacuum driven. There is a nipple on the back of the cluster with a vac line attached. Do you hear any hissing coming from the dash? If so, that's probably what popped off. Otherwise, find the vac line coming out of the firewall and trace it to wherever it should connect to see if that's popped off.
