I thought I would put in a positive post to mix things up. It's normal for a technical board to concentrate so much on fixing problems or asking for help, but I also think it's beneficial to chime up when things are going well.
Loaded up the Aero and took our semi-annual roadtrip to San Diego from Portland. Now, most people would think I'd choose the Infiniti G35; and they're shocked when I grimace at how horrible that car is on the highway. Of course, it might be a decent car on the open road, but it just doesn't compare to the 9000 Aero with ~290K miles on the clock. My trusty Saab soaked up the trip to San Diego and back and then another trip to Sacramento and back with only small crack to the windshield (and surprisingly for me, no speeding tickets this time).
I use an enormous rooftop rocket box with the factory Thule tower and saw gas mileage of ~23MPG at freeway speeds of 75-80MPH down to San Diego. Then when going to Sacramento without the rocket box, I saw 28MPG at the same speeds.
This car has definitely been the most enjoyable car I've owned. It does so many things so well that it's hard not to love it.
Just thought I'd share that some owners have happy stories; not just nagging problems.
